KITCHEN & BATHROOM DESIGN
As a kitchen and bathroom designer, I had the opportunity to work on various residential projects, specializing in both kitchen and bathroom design. In addition to the regular design work, I also incorporated universal design principles into these spaces to ensure accessibility and usability for all individuals. Here's a brief description of these roles:
Kitchen Design:
In my role as a kitchen designer, I focused on creating functional and visually appealing kitchen spaces. This involved working closely with clients to understand their specific needs, preferences, and lifestyle requirements. I considered factors such as workflow, storage solutions, appliance placement, and countertop space to optimize the efficiency and usability of the kitchen. Additionally, I paid attention to the selection of materials, colors, and finishes to create a cohesive design that aligned with the overall aesthetic of the residence.
Bathroom Design:
As a bathroom designer, my goal was to create relaxing and functional spaces that met the unique needs of the residents. I worked with clients to understand their desired level of luxury, privacy, and comfort in their bathrooms. I focused on optimizing the layout, and selecting fixtures, tiles, and surfaces that complemented the design theme. Additionally, I paid attention to lighting, storage solutions, and accessibility features to enhance the overall functionality and appeal of the bathrooms.
Universal Design for Bath and Kitchen:
In addition to regular kitchen and bathroom design, I also incorporated universal design principles into these spaces. Universal design aims to create environments that are accessible and usable for people of all ages, abilities, and mobility levels. In the context of kitchen and bathroom design, this involved considering features such as adjustable-height countertops, ample maneuvering space, lever-style faucets, grab bars, non-slip flooring, and accessible storage solutions. By incorporating these elements, I ensured that the kitchen and bathroom spaces were inclusive and accommodated the needs of all residents, including those with disabilities or limited mobility.
By combining my expertise in kitchen and bathroom design with a focus on universal design, I was able to create spaces that were not only aesthetically pleasing but also highly functional and accessible for all individuals.
